Dr. Knable is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Athens Medical Associates Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. Knable is a graduate of Ohio University and Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Knable previously held a number of positions at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital and in the community, and with more than 20 years of experience, returns to practice in the local community.

Dr. Knable sees patient care as a team approach, where he likes patients to be motivated and involved in their care, decision making, and well-informed, so that together, the right treatment plan can be developed, with a mutually beneficial healthcare experience.

Dr. Knable enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 sons, and 2 dogs. His personal interests include music, boating and bicycling.
